DIY~ Vinyl Record Bowl

DIY~ VINYL RECORD BOWL

Things You'll Need:
  • Vinyl Records
  • Oven
  • Baking Sheet
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Heat Proof Bowl
  • Oven Mits
Estimated Time To Make: 20 minutes

~

Step 1.  Pick up some cheep and useless vinyls.

Step 2. Preheat Oven to 250°.

Step 3. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and place a heat proof bowl upside-down on top of it.

Step 4. Place vinyl on the center of the bowl. (Make sure the vinyl is clean first)

Step 5. Put this into the oven. Keep a close eye on it; it will begin to curl down in less than two minutes.

Step 6. Once it has begun curl down, pull the tray out of the oven with your oven mits on.

Step 7. Using the oven mit, hand mold the sides of the vinyl down.*
If it hardens before you're done molding, or you are unsatisfied with the way it looks, put it back in the oven for 30-40 seconds and try hand molding it again.
*Sometimes you might like the way it looks right as you take it out of the oven; if so, skip the molding and let it cool down and harden*

Step 8. Let it cool 6-10 minutes, and flip it off the bowl.

And there you have it! A super fun and easy vinyl record bowl that you can use for anything!
