Nails: Ombré

Ombré Nail Tutorial

(without buying multiple polishes!)

Things You'll Need:

• 1 color nail polish
• 1 white nail polish 
• Plastic surface to mix the polish on

Estimated Time: under half an hour

Step 1. Using the original color, paint one fingernail on each hand with it.

Step 2. Once it has dried a little, take the original color, and pour a puddle of it on your plastic surface. (In my case, the shiny side of an old postcard)

Step 3. Pour a smaller amount of white polish into the puddle.

 Step 4. Using the nail polish brush (not the white one's), mix the polish until you get a lighter shade of the original color. (You can always add more white).

Step 5. Paint the next nail on both hands.

Step 6. Add more white to the puddle, mix, and apply to the next nail.

Step 7. Repeat until all nails are painted.
